This team has everyone who was on our 2008 voyage to South Georgia, Elephant Island and the Antarctic Peninsula in November 2008. There are many sub teams within, have a look at their roles to find out why they were there. For example: ‘SG traverse’ is our our climbing team who trained to do historic South Georgia crossing.

South Pole Team 2007-08

The first Irish Team to walk to the South Pole and the first Irish Female to reach the South Pole. Walking to the South Pole and Beyond involved travelling a distance of over 1100km with each member man-hauling a sledge weighing in excess of 150 kg.
