SUMMIT ATTEMPT TONIGHT
Gerard McDonnell with the Dutch team ‘Norit K2’ are about to make their summit attempt on K2 later this evening all going well. They were at C3 (7300m) early this morning being battered by localised high winds even though the weather is as perfect as it gets on K2 with a few days for summits attempts available. We can now confirm the team are at Camp 4 (7700m) as of 3pm Irish time and will be leaving C4 for the summit at 8pm. The fastest way in finding the info is through their website: www.noritk2.nl and we will do our best to publish the same on www.patfalvey.com as soon as possible.
Please read the latest email below received at 2.48pm Irish time: (K2 is + 5 hours)
