Educational ship Supervisor, Agustín Ullmann

Educational ship Supervisor, Agustín Ullmann

We are delighted that Agustin will be joining us on board.

It is really looking like that we will have a top class team to compliment all our research projects on educational and global warming.

Agustín Ullmann, born in Buenos Aires in 1976, has worked in natural environments since 1995, guiding and coordinating educational groups of teenagers and kids on environmental education activities.

Once started his studies as Park Ranger, he began a specialization in logistics and coordination of ecotouristic trips to Patagonia, travelling with groups through Nahuel Huapi, Lanín, Los Alerces and Los Glaciares National Parks, Cabo Dos Bahías Faunistic Reserve in Patagonia and Iguazú National Park in the north.

At the same time, he developed himself as Environmental Interpreter Guide in the Paraná Delta – guiding kayak and motor boat tours – and different protected areas of Argentina, including professional practices in many of them like Mar Chiquita Multiple Resource Reserve, Costanera Sur Natural Park, Educational Refuge Ribera Norte and the Private Wildlife Reserve El Cachapé (Chaco).

Some years ago he started receiving groups of receptive tourism, after which he started a new training as Tour Leader and Guide in the Brazilian Mato Grosso and Northwest Argentina. He works as a guide specialized in Antarctic ecosystems since the 2004/2005 summer till now aboard the M/V Ushuaia, first as a Guide, then as a Lecturer/Guide and now as Assistant Expedition Leader.

Despite Agustín is a Park Ranger and a Nature Interpreter, he also enjoys very much arts so he studied dramatic art and music, he is a fine guitar player and also dances, and might teach some basics of Tango, one of the most famous and traditional dances in Argentina
