Buenos Aires & Thunderstorms

29th November 2008

On arrival in BA it was evident that it was raining on approach. The murky view down over the now dark city was exciting. Our baggage went well with nothing to report and our guide was waiting with our transfers outside the busy Jorge Newbury domestic airport. We headed into the city which took a little over half an hour to the NH City just off the Plaza de Mayo and checked in. It was midnight and some later tried to find a Mcdonalds but didn’t realise the job in finding one here in the massive urban system and It was lashing. We booked some cabs and headed to Sorrento restaurant for some paella and oysters overlooking the Port with the fantastic backdrop off a huge thunderstorm lasting a few hours. What an experience.
