At 12:30 pm today, Pat contacted the Captain, Jorge. The traverse team
are having a much better day today, making good time. They expect to be
within view of the ship at 5:30 pm. Well be watching for them, and
well be sure to blow the ships horn as they crest the glacial field
their last stretch before they begin the final 3 kilometres of
Shackletons journey to Stromness.
We now have both the Irish and red Munster flag flying on the bow of
our ship, the Ushuaia. In fact, Im currently looking out over the
flags, and they look fantastic with the crisp white background of a
glacier behind them.
