Final Push for the Traverse Team

At 12:30 pm today, Pat contacted the Captain, Jorge. The traverse team
are having a much better day today, making good time. They expect to be
within view of the ship at 5:30 pm. We’ll be watching for them, and
we’ll be sure to blow the ship’s horn as they crest the glacial field –
their last stretch before they begin the final 3 kilometres of
Shackleton’s journey to Stromness.

We now have both the Irish and red Munster flag flying on the bow of
our ship, the Ushuaia. In fact, I’m currently looking out over the
flags, and they look fantastic with the crisp white background of a
glacier behind them.
