Freddy Dec 19

Freddy Dec 19

Dec 19

As I dialled the number, I felt excited – I knew Tim would do his best to help me. ‘Hello?’ – Tim picked up the phone. I quickly explained what had happened and what I needed him to do.- To send a letter to Santa, explaining where I am and asking if he could leave a present for me at his house.

He was quiet first, but then said ‘No problem, Freddy, I’ll do it straight away – what do you want Santa to bring you?‘

I didn’t have to think; – I wanted a big jar of honey and a football! I thanked Tim and told him I would see him in January.

When I returned the phone to Pat, I told him what I had done. ‘What do you want more honey for, Freddy?’ I explained that all the honey I had brought with me had frozen solid in the jars and that I couldn’t use it. My tummy rumbled as I thought about a lovely big jar of fresh honey mmmm!

I got back into my sleeping bag and began to tell Polly the whole story about Santa, Mrs Claus, Santa’s helpers, Rudolf and all the other reindeers. She was intrigued and listened to every word. I promised to share my honey and to play football with her when we get back to Ireland.

It was late before we eventually got to sleep and poor Polly was so tired the following morning, she fell asleep and nearly cracked her neck while skiing!
