Pollys story - Dec 2nd

Pollys story - Dec 2nd

Dec 02

‘So Polly, tell me everything from when I left you last year’, Freddy asked. ‘How did you end up in Jon’s sled?‘

Polly began her story;
Well, Freddy, after you said goodbye, I began to think of ways of getting to join you on this trip. I knew it was going to be a long way, but I figured that over 2 months in the summer time, I could make the long walk to Patriot Hills,- to where you would start your journey. I walked day and night, everyday for 65 days, until late one night I arrived at an almost deserted Patriot Hills.

Everyone was packing up to leave after the summer season, all the tents were down apart from two.

As I looked around, I bumped into Ronny, the Norwegian cook, and told him my plan to spend the winter in Patriot Hills, waiting for you guys. He smiled and said, ’I know just the place’; he took me to a big underground snow cave, where all the food is stored and showed me where the fish were kept.‘Eat as much as you need, Polly, and I’ll see you in November’, he smiled.
