What a day, today one of the best days of my life. Eight days into the
journey already over with all the waititing for this trip to come I
never in my wildest dreams would of thought a few years ago my life
would be like this and feel lucky that I have been given the opportunity
to come on a trip like this. With all the husstle and bussle of
travelling on land, air and sea I finally made it here I feel today that
im in a magical world of white light and beautiful creatures surrounding
me tempermental waters and bubbly people all with similar interests in
mind.

I couldn,t believe walking down the gangway this morning to get onto the
zodiac the sight that was before me ice-capped mountains ,waves slowly
washing over the stones and a beacg full of exuberance. The king
penguins in their splendour ane elephant and fur seals basking in their
patch of ground the penguins slowly waddling around trying not to waste
to much energy as they waited to finish molting to hunt for food in the
sea, and furry babies against the green backdrop what a sight to behold.

We then returned for early lunch and waited to go out again to prior
island to visit the albatross nesting before it left it started snowing
and when it calmed a little we went over it was much smaller and a lot
more personal the fur seals were waiting there and we had to be careful
not to get in their way to much lots of little penguins around also we
went up the stiarway they are making a wonderful idea and watched and
photographed about six or seven albatrosses nesting such beautiful birds
with a strong presence we had to be quiet as not to disturb them.
looking out over the bay was a sight to make the angels cry such
magnificent beauty could oñly have been made by someone very gifted
indeed.

I reflected on a lot up there , thought of family and friends , of bygon
days of dreams and destiny and thanked everyone who helped and
encouraged me to come here. I closed my eyes for a moment and hoped that
I could send everyone of you a little of vision of this island and hope
that some day some of your dreams will come true . we returned
exhasperated for our day had dinner and will chat to the lads about
everything and nothing.
