The Great Departure

1st December 2008

Once again the lobby was covered in luggage and many tired heads wandering around with a few not affected by too many late nights. I joined the Linders family in the breakfast room for a quick coffee before heading up to the madness. Pat and our local tour company were coralling the masses to check-out and on to the coaches for the final time.

For me it was a sad time to see everyone aboard the busses for they all had connected with me over the last year and now it was time for me to let them go. I said happy Christmas to all of them and passed on my special thanks to my good friend Katy & co from back home and especially Charlie whom I had shared a living space, stories and experiences for nearly a month now and became close to. Pat was now in control as I was staying on for two days to relax before returning home to the Kingdom. He is great leader and has inspired me for over 5 years now.

I am writing this with an air of relief I must admit. I am in the lobby of a hotel enjoying a coffee with Fergus and just got a text form Pat to say all has depart ok.

To the new year and many good times ahead
