South Georgia

Marie here in South Georgia, Fortuina Bay, the traverse tema came down
off the glacier last night at 7pm, some came ashore too exhauated to
continue, the rest camped on the beach to continue the walk inti
Stromness today.
And oh joy, we are to accompany them! We have yearned for this walk,
añmost on hallowed ground, the field of dreams.
the last few days have been beyond belief, others have told in thier
blogs of the detail and the nitty gritty of life on board, for me there
is the constant pinching of myself, I am here. I am here.
the Ice
the Ice.
I can see why men are drawn back, there were tears and rejoicing, and
loud blasts from the Ushuaia when the team were spotted. The weather is
good, sea calm, and we expect to land on the beach about 10am. Gammy
legs, dodgy knees and useless feet are forgotten as we face towards
Stromness…We are here.
